This instructor-led course provides a detailed introduction to the EU GDPR, and a full overview regarding how to plan and implement a continuous compliance programme. It enables delegates to fulfil the knowledge requirements of a Data Protection Officer (DPO).

Course Outline

 

At the end of the sessions, delegates would have gained knowledge of:

  1. The origin, institutions and legislative framework of European data protection law.
  2. the European Data Protection Law in order to demonstrate their understanding of:
    • The data protection concepts
    • The principles and application
    • The processing criteria
    • The obligations
    • Data subject rights
    • The confidentiality and security requirements
    • The notification requirements
    • Cross-border data transfer mechanisms
    • The supervision and enforcement
  3. Delegates would also be able to demonstrate the application of European data protection practices related to:
    • Employment, surveillance, direct marketing and outsourcing
    • Internet technology and communications, including cloud computing, search engines and social networking

 

We provide delegates with the specialist training and tools to pass the CIPP/E qualification. All courses are taught by qualified practitioners with commercial experience. 

 

Exam and Certification

 

On completion of the course, delegates would have gained the knowledge and skills required to take the CIPP/E – Certified Information Privacy Professional exams.

(Cost includes exam registration fees and the IAPP professional membership)

 

Additional Skills/Experience

To excel as a Data Privacy Practitioner, you should be able to read and interpret relevant laws, demonstrate good analytical skills, confidently communicate to senior management and effectively manage change throughout the organisation.
