This instructor-led training is delivered at our training location in London (120 New Cavendish street) with a maximum of 8 delegates in each cohort – enjoy an interactive session with an added on workshop where you can discuss, review active working documents and work on exam practice questions.

The training comprises 7 modules.

Module 1: Foundations of Artificial Intelligence

Defines AI and machine learning, presents an overview of the different types of AI systems and their use cases, and positions AI models in the broader socio-cultural context.

Module 2: AI Impacts on People and Responsible AI Principles
Outlines the core risks and harms posed by AI systems, the characteristics of trustworthy AI systems, and the principles essential to responsible and ethical AI.

Module 3: Responsible AI governance and risk management
Explains how major AI stakeholders collaborate in a layered approach to manage AI risks while acknowledging AI systems’ potential societal benefits.

Module 4: Governing AI Development
Outlines mapping, planning and scoping AI projects, testing and validating AI systems during development, and managing.

Module 5: Governing AI Deployment
Outlines mapping, planning and scoping AI projects, managing and monitoring AI systems after deployment.

Module 6: The EU AI Act
Surveys key points related to terminology, risk levels, requirements, governance and enforcement as laid out in the EU AI Act.

Module 7: Other laws and standards related to AI
Surveys the existing laws that govern the use of AI, outlines key GDPR intersections, and provides awareness of liability reform. Describes global AI-specific laws and the major frameworks and standards that exemplify how AI systems can be responsibly governed.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The training comprises 8 modules, which take approximately 18- 21 hours to complete.

It is appropriate for professionals who plan to certify, as well for those who want to deepen their knowledge of AI.

To give yourself the best chance of passing the exam, plan on studying for at least 30 hours.

EXAM AND CERTIFICATION

On completion of the course, delegates would have gained the knowledge and skills required to take the AIGP - Certified AI Governance Professional exam. The IAPP offers computer-based certification exams. The exam can be taken at home, work or at a testing centre local to you. There is a 12-month window to schedule exams.
